Ola dans le bouleau...

Il y a une quinzaine de jours, je suis allé faire une balade vers Lallaing (Nord), des rives de la Scarpe jusqu'à l'ancien terril de Germignies pour aller voir l'automne.

Me voici sur le terril, envahi d'une forêt de bouleaux. En contrebas, un marécage.

VILLA BOULEAU

Not every abandoned house I encounter still has all the furniture. While this may be disappointing to some, I often prefer it. No vandalism, no pillaging, no staging… Just beautiful architecture. Villa Bouleau is one of those houses that has been completely emptied.

Apart from the fact that it dates from the beginning of the twentieth century and that it is included in the inventory of historic gardens and parks in Flanders, little or nothing can be found out about this beautiful eclectic villa with a cottage appearance.

An annex attached to the back of the villa houses a pharmacy, several examination rooms and a waiting area, which indicates a medical function. Perhaps a group practice of general practitioners?

The villa itself was completely emptied. This provides a beautiful view of the architectural elements of the building, including the beautiful stucco, the marble mantelpieces and the beautiful ceiling painting.
