2014 Domaine Les Pins Bourgueil Cuvée “Les Rochettes”

Having fun with this Loire red. Small forest blackberries, black cherries, and ripe, ripe fruit on the nose along with flint and graphite, a bit of smoke and minerality. Pretty rich on the palate with dense red fruit, black cherries, graphite (even pencil) with the teensiest bit of olive on the finish.

2008 Catherine et Pierre Breton Bourgueil “Nuits d’Ivresse”

Things got a leeeetle outta hand these last few “drunken nights”... Red fruit, earth, just a whiff of barn, herbs, and graphite on the nose. Almost like a bigger Burgundy on the nose, but clearly a Cab Franc on the palate. Loads of raspberries and cherries with flint and graphite notes. Nice organic wine!

Thank you, life! Loving this nice bistro Cab Franc! Red fruit, graphite, and a hint of dry forest floor on the nose. Red and dark fruit on the palate with a hint of pencil, graphite, and wood giving the wine nice structure. Fresh acidity.
