But this day finds yours truly in this chintzy general store taking up some coffee and a cheese danish for a modest break ... when all of a sudden, faster than you can whistle the opening bars to "The Tra-La-La Song," who else but Top Cat and his merry band saunter into Steichen's, getting some coffee and rolls--and ordering some box lunches for later on, the sort Steichen's has long been famous for: Your choice of thin-sliced deli meats (ham, roast beef, turkey breast, chicken breast) and cheese on a bun, potato chips, potato salad as seems a little rich in the mustard department, a dill pickle ... need I say as much? (Oh, lest I forget, you also get a can of soda.) And for some reason, TC's somewhat tacky-looking weskit looked none the worse for wear.
"Heavens to Brooklyn!" was how I responded.
"And you're not looking bad yourself!" was how TC responded.
"So pray, what exactly brought you here to the Minnesota State Fair?"
"Just some sheer desire for wanderlust, looking at what's otherwise flyover country...."

To which Choo-Choo, affectionately known as "Chooch" for short, remarked, "Well, if it isn't the one and only Snagglepuss!"
