Box Progress 1
This, the picture above, is the lid. I had a circular cut of cardboard, a smaller cut clued atop, then I took strips sketchbook paper and dampened them, wrapping them and sequring/coating them with joy's white glue. For the very last covering, where I was done wrapping, I added a small amount of glue and used water to dilute it, spreading it across.
This is the box. I am following a certain pattern in how I add to it, though that's easier to see from the bottom of the box. I had used a toilet paper roll, where it is I think is clear. I'm using mod podge and cardboard for the box, and once I have all the strips of cardboard I want I'll likely do to It as I've done to the lid.
In the end, I plan to use black or gold string to add texture and appeal, and I want to use a red paint for the whole thing.
I might try to include beads, but that's for future me to figure out
