Box Progress 1

This, the picture above, is the lid. I had a circular cut of cardboard, a smaller cut clued atop, then I took strips sketchbook paper and dampened them, wrapping them and sequring/coating them with joy's white glue. For the very last covering, where I was done wrapping, I added a small amount of glue and used water to dilute it, spreading it across.

This is the box. I am following a certain pattern in how I add to it, though that's easier to see from the bottom of the box. I had used a toilet paper roll, where it is I think is clear. I'm using mod podge and cardboard for the box, and once I have all the strips of cardboard I want I'll likely do to It as I've done to the lid.

In the end, I plan to use black or gold string to add texture and appeal, and I want to use a red paint for the whole thing.

I might try to include beads, but that's for future me to figure out

Progress 1

My Obstructions for this week were… 1. Use only circles 2. Work somewhere you’ve never worked before 3. Make it hurry

I created the visuals on this page to meet the requirements of the obstructions and show the possibilities of such limitations. As for how I feel towards the things I’ve created, I like what I produced with specific limitations. I didn’t think I could make the things I made, but sometimes our limits are our strengths and inspire us in the act of ideation.

Positives/Joys- Having a clear task and focused obstacles to go from.

Negatives/Frustrations- Not being allowed to do certain things and being forced to do others.

With page 42 of the book that I chose, on transparency, I ran into many marvelous discoveries. I experimented with overlaying and changing depth with the use of plastic and other see through materials.

It seemed as though the greatest limitation of all was that I could only post ONE thing every day. 7 days was not enough for the many ideas I had.
