"...It's more intact than I thought it'd be."
Twenty system hours ago, a distress signal had been transmitted from a cargo ship en route to Thalassa carrying troves of gold that were intended to be utilized in a massive transaction between two obscenely wealthy parties that didn't concern the Nameless. Still, the assignment's premise had been simple: said cargo ship, stated to be heavily armored and shielded, had been incapacitated and devoured like a horde of piranhas. Its freight of gold worth trillions of Credits had been intercepted and completely stolen, spelling ruin for both parties if it wasn't located. As indifferent as Dan Heng typically was to the movement of wealth across the cosmos, there was more to this than simple theft. There was little sign of struggle, yet the crew had vanished and the vessel had been found derelict.
The circumstances simply didn't add up.
Dan Heng turned to the Galaxy Ranger who'd agreed to accompany him on the premise that the looting was likely connected to a string of them that tied to a bounty the cyborg was pursuing. Simply put, their interests aligned in this situation, and Boothill was someone he'd befriended and come to trust in the year they'd known each other. Stepping through the threshold of a massive bulwark door that had been wrenched open, scanning the vicinity yielded nothing. At the very least, Dan Heng knew where their search would take them.
"Let's head to the bridge. I can't surmise what's occurred here, but the security footage should yield something."
