           two sets of wide eyes stare at their guest, kind but anxious   –  lev tilts his head to allow mahpee to crawl down to his shoulders.    his pet is clingy, yes, but he is perhaps putting on a show ; he enjoys how anyone unused to it tends to squeal.         “    we don’t get a lot of visitors here.    ”     and he smiles, remembering how elina had said the same thing to him only a few years earlier.     it was nice being on the other end of that -- welcoming somebody into his home rather than infringing on the reservation.    mahpee twitches, and a moment later, lev hears footsteps approaching  ;  before he can be reprimanded for leaving the door open, he steps back.          “     please come in.   we’re happy to have you.    ”     he scoops mahpee up and holds him out for inspection.    “    you can pet him.    you know, some people say kinkajous are the worst carnivores in existence.    ”

ngl i almost went with pizza lmao but i’m a Big Schnitzel Fan !! i also love sauerkraut ? but idk really if we have any good traditional dishes ahah Sauerbraten is A Good but also we do that thing where we just eat potatoes with quark and maybe some linseed oil which i like too sdghfg

5. favourite song in your native language?

oh !! i don’t just have one. if you want some sad ones it’s either Oft Gefragt by AnnenMayKantereit or Wie Soll Ein Mensch Das Ertragen by Philipp Poisel which always breaks my heart honestly. if we going more funny though let me just introduce you to Holz by 257ershonestly i could go on with all the pop songs but i don’t wanna spam asfdghfghg

Atemlos by Helen Fischer. it’s …………………… so hyped up and i just hate it so much it’s so bad. it’s been 4 years and they’re just not letting it go !!

7. three words from your native language that you like the most?

1. doch - there are supposed translations but they just don’t give you that sense of intensity this word has. it’s a more intense version of talking back to someone like in english you’d be like ‘ caro, you can’t do that ’ and i’d just be ‘ yes, i can ’ but in german i’m just like ‘ DOCH ’ because it’s an immediate direct reaction i love this word it’s a whole back and forth when arguing sometimes where it just goes ‘ nein - doch - nein - doch - nein - doch ’ and i think that’s beautiful2. liebling - a term of endearment for the person you love the most ( there’s also a cute song called Lieblingsmensch / Favourite Human which i like too )3. neuanfang - a new beginning / to start over / fresh start
