Vril and Lobo's relationship can best be described as Vril has a stray cat in his backyard that he is annoyed is there. But he keeps feeding the cat, so it keeps coming back, he doesn't WANT the cat there, but it keeps the mice down, and he feeds it, but he doesn't want ANY cat in his yard! The cat meanwhile is suspicious of the person feeding him, but shows up anyway because it's fucking food and he's not going to say no to food, he doesn't trust Vril, but damnit all it's food.

I'm reading the initial L.E.G.I.O.N. run and, I was picking up on vibes between Vril and Garryn - but one of the last panels in issue #13...
