I see people saying that the brainwave death was stupid & poor writing because brainwave was dumb to think tricking them with henry would work and at first I thought similarly but now I disagree.

It kind of reinforces his character, the fact he’s so full of pride for his own belief system. He thought he could fool Yolanda with Henry but the truth is he really didn’t know his own son. He never bothered because he was disengaged with him. That’s why he got Dragon King to have Cindy watch over him instead of checking up on Henry jr himself. So yeah, of course he’d think his plan would work out fine. He was a narcissistic maniac that thought he was the shit.

Thinking about how Brainwave Sr. put Alan in an illusion where Alan became a mass murderer which was obviously fake but also Alan will always know that he is actually capable of doing that and how that might affect how Alan treats Brainwave Sr.'s son...
