Horrid Henry characters as bugs!!

Reasonings under cut:

Henry - easiest to place and the one who gave me the idea for this. What bug could possibly be more horrid than a cockroach?

Ralph - wasp, rude bastards who want nothing more than to ruin your day. Or, at least thats what people think. Also "ruder than a bee thats buzzing"

Peter - a beautiful butterfly! universally adored, unlike his horrid brother

Brian - ants are considered to be some of the smartest bugs. More specifically i made him a leafcutter ant, did you know they practice a form of agriculture?

Al - some of the fastest insects in the world, they can fly with a speed up to 36 mph/54 kmh AND theyre one of nature's most efficient predators. Hes a dragonfly!

Bert - minotaur beetle. Stag beetle felt too intimidating, rose chafer felt too goofy, this one felt just right

William - ill be real hes an ant just for the sad ant meme. The only other option was maybe weevil cause they look sad as hell

Andrew - also a hard pick. Common house fly, couldnt think of anything else to represent anxiety

Margaret - praying mantis, also one of the most efficient predators of the insect world. Harmless to humans, deadly to any bug unfortunate enough to be smaller than her

Susan - it took a lot of self control not to make her a horsehair worm (that most mantises are infected with) but i still wanted her to be a parasite. Another option was tick

Linda - snail, slow and able to go into hybernation

Soraya - cricket wouldve also worked here, but cicadas feel like THE singing bug

Gurinder - gorgeous, gorgeous butterfly. Same as peter, everyone likes butterflies, right?
