A silly art of the brothers that I drew after I stumbled upon a review where someone reposted my first Renarin portrait only to put a rant about him below it, smh
I’d really appreciate it if people would stop uploading and using my art without credit and without my permission. ;; I don’t mind small, low res use in memes and icons. It’s the pinterest/ social media/ blog reposts that frustrate me.
Jasnah Kholin in a semi-traditional havah. She’s the only character I intentionally give a new dress every time I draw her. Though I usually try to use the same references to make it look somewhat cohesive.
One more of these to get through my content draught… I always kind of liked the idea that Shallan would wear Veil's coat more often once she started to get a better hold of her personas.
out of curiosity, what brushes do you use for your art? it's gorgeous!
For most of my art I use an impressionistic oil brush set by Greg Rutkowski and a small variety of textured blenders that I scoured from around the net.
I can’t trace all of their sources any longer, but I like to use a soft/ greasy smudge tool by Lane Brown. Either way, I think any blender works as long as they are a little textured and you use them sparingly.
My tool from sketch to line art is a Daub conte brush and for my Tales of Urithiru piece I used True Grit’s RizzCraft pack. (Bought it while on sale.)

Thank you to everyone who participated in this event! We finished with a whopping 18 fics in the collection by 15 different authors! I'm glad that so many people could have fun with this premise; everyone came together to create what adds up to a novel-length collection of stories that could read as a bridge between Oathbringer and Rhythm of War. Featuring both canon characters and OCs alike!
Below the cut is a directory of fics written for this event with their summaries. Please check out the fics and give the authors some love!
(And if anyone has yet to finish their claim and would like to add their fic to the collection when it's completed late, feel free to shoot me a message and I can make sure the collection reopens for you to add to!)

Let the Memories Stick to my Tongue (Let Me Starve) by cosmere_play
As of OB, Kaladin's parents are back in his life. They must have asked him about Tien--his life in the army, and his death. How did he end up telling them? Why did Hesina never write back? How did Kaladin and Lyn start dating? How did Kaladin cope with his mental health? The fic covers some of Kaladin's experiences in the gap year between OB and RoW.
Radiant Son by Silvermoonwater
Lirin had been preparing for this moment for days. Ever since Kaladin had sent a message that he would come home with the next highstorm, his mind had been full of the same few questions on loop. We were told you were dead. How are you alive, what happened to you? You were dead. But seeing his son step through the front door for the first time since that terrible afternoon years ago when Roshone had torn their family apart—instead of asking his questions, it was all he could do to hold back tears.

A look at Lirin and Hesina welcoming their son home for the first time after they find out he's actually been alive this whole time.

Skar and Drehy's Guide to Babysitting Traumatized Toddlers by Silvermoonwater
Elhokar's body wiggled. *What in Damnation?* A small face appeared, pale and shocked, as Gavinor shook his father's arm again. He mouthed something Drehy couldn't hear over the clamor of battle.
"Skar!" Drehy yelled. "Skar!"
"What?"
"Go get Shallan's people, I'm getting Gavinor!"
"*What*?"
OR
Skar and Drehy got Elhokar's son out of Kholinar without radiant powers, supplies, or a real plan. The connections they make to Gavinor on the journey are strong, and not severed by their return to Urithiru.
toast to the bride by dally_nar
Ialai Sadeas did not go to Highprince Adolin’s wedding. She didn’t owe him that, not when he had done such a monumentally terrible job at solving Torol’s murder. So some bright-eyed innocent girl was in love and happy, so what? To Damnation with all of them! She hoped one of the two of them would get executed abruptly too, let the other half see how it felt. Then maybe Adolin would expedite his fucking murder investigation.

Thought this would be a fitting piece to end the year. See you in 2026! ✨
Have you thought about timeskip renarin designs? I’m working on a cosplay for him and have so many ideas for hairstyles and the singer outfit. If you’re open to discussion, I’d lov to get into details sometime c:
Please, tell me more about that cosplay of yours..
I do have references collected for more Renarin outfits! I hope I could give him a whole wardrobe in the end. (I’d say the outfit in my dance fan art is the closest to what I envision at the moment.)
I feel like I painted more Renarin in this year alone than general cosmere art in the past 5 years. which is not ☝️ true but it sure feels like it.
I'm nowhere near halfway through the list of artworks I have planned for him, but maybe I'll hold back from posting a new piece every month. After all, I still have, what, six years until we get new Renarin content?
I realized it’s been a year since Wind and Truth has been released! To celebrate, I will force this one back to your attention with an ID below the cut:
[ID: A fan art of Rlain sheltering Renarin Kholin from Ba-Ado-Mishram. Based on the scene from the finale of Wind and Truth.
At the center of the painting Rlain kneels next to Renarin in front of a background of glowing red stained glass windows. He pulls him closer; one hand tucking the sleeve and the other hand resting on the back of Renarin’s head, who in turn grips the carapace of Rlain‘s arm and the fabric of his vest for support. They are both wearing their Bridge Four- uniform, though Rlain’s is slightly altered. Their eyes are shut with tension as Rlain hums to the Rhythm of Love that is depicted as a beating circle around them that resembles the pattern of a heartbeat. (In this case a 6/8 with an upbeat).
Rlain’s head hides Renarin’s from Mishram, who is hovering above them in the form of a femalen singer in billowing robes and with long hair of purple smoke that swirls across the image in curved motions. She holds a clawed hand over them and screams with her eyes and mouth glowing in the same red as the background. Her other hand is gripping the stonewall of the vision’s chamber, which also serves as the frame of the painting.
At the lower left corner of this stonewall frame lies the gemstone of Mishram’s former prison, splintered into nine pieces. Its dark purple smoke swirls around Rlain and Renarin, and past the remnants of a broken stained glass window, and takes form above them as the silhouette of the Unmade. End ID]
