[If he had been a cat the hair on his back would be standing on end. Eyes were narrowed into slits as he stared at the girl. Amusement was gone from his face. He wouldn't understand, that was simply an excuse avoid explaining oneself. To him it didn't really make a difference whether an explaination was offered or not. It didn't change actions after all. Hands were balled into fists at his sides despite the relaxed posture. He didn't really expect much from many people. There were rare exceptions, but as a human that lived in darkness, he was always prepared for the worst situations, no matter how 'pure' someone might seem on the outside.
