“WELL HELLO STRANGER,” Katerina said as she approached the boy she hadn’t seen much from since her ACCIDENT. She didn’t give him time to reply before she grabbed his hand and pulled him out from his quiet corner. “I think I’m overdue for a check-up. C’mon, we can do it outside ─ they’re lighting lanterns.”
maybe visiting the baxter building wasn’t the greatest idea he’s come up with. then again, the baxter had a lab and he wanted to tinker with reed richards’ equipment for a bit. mostly because he’s been thinking about the goblin project ever since they were thrown into this jungle and if he didn’t figure out how to recreate the formula soon, it might as well be turned into dust. he couldn’t risk forgetting about it when he’s spent so much time and money studying it. but he didn’t expect to run into someone in the baxter that wasn’t part of the fantastic four. he half-expected johnny to be by the door, not the woman in front of him. “hi,” he began, “is dr. richards home?” he’s not even sure if he should be asking the female because he’s certainly never seen her before. “uh, i’m harry osborn. and you are?”

“um. you’re not reed richards.” that was probably a dumb thing to say the moment the door was opened, but amadeus had been taken aback when a woman opened the door for him at one of the labs and it wasn’t sue storm (or cindy, but that was a story for another time). “whoa, you look so much like his wife. are you sue? wait, sue’s old. are you a young sue? because there are so many people from different realities and timelines.” and okay, maybe he shouldn’t be rambling like that in front of a stranger, but this whole parallel realities thing was tripping him out. “anyway, have you seen dr. richards anywhere? or johnny?”

“I hate feeling like this” said Daphne when she spotted Benji. “I hate feeling useless, like I can’t help anybody.” It was a feeling she wondered if he had too, given their shared major. Not being able to help remind her of when her sister had been kidnapped. It was the same feeling of helplessness she’d had then. “Give me someone with a physical injury and I would know what to do.” But right now, the pain was all emotional, and Daphne knew there was no easy fix to that.
