and to be honest, i’m more of a pokemon collector than i am a competitive battler.

i have a lot of pokemon, so i like to give the ones who like battling a chance to challenge themselves and get stronger. and for the ones who aren’t in my active party, i give them a couple options if they want to keep up with their training. if they’re alright with it, i lend them to the pokemon league here in alola where they can train with the trial captains, or lend them out to challengers at the battle tree on poni island. otherwise i ask my veteran pokemon to help train the less experienced ones more personally.

it’s... a lot of work, yeah. but being a champion does give me connections with people who don’t mind looking after my pokemon while i’m away. my mom can only handle so many of them, haha!
