A/N: It’s been sooooo long since the last tipsy drabble!!!! I’m excited to have it again! Also the seventeen tipsy drabble agenda continues!
You stirred in your bed, the sleep slowly leaving you as the seconds passed. Despite that you turned on your other side and tried to fall back into your slumber. Which never came. Instead your senses picked up everything happening around you.
You heard the soft sighs from Minghao next to you, who apparently still slept soundly. You felt the slight breeze of the wind from the open window. You even saw the shadows dancing around the room from the morning sun despite your closed eyes.
More minutes passed until you finally decided to give up on your sleep and made your way to the kitchen. You glanced at the clock on the kitchen wall, seeing it was only eight in the morning, and you regretted it even more to be awake at that hour already - especially after you only went to sleep four hours prior.
Minghao and you had gone out, drinking dozens of cocktails and shots, dancing around bars and streets, making out in dark corners in between.
Thankfully despite the amount of drinking you never got a hangover the next day, unlike Minghao.
You started getting ingredients out of the fridge and prepared a light breakfast when you remembered something your dad used to tell you after he went out for drinks with his colleagues and always drank one too much on those nights.
“Always counter attack the hangover with more alcohol. That’s how you get rid of it.”
A sly grin formed on your lips as you prepared a special kind of orange juice and placed everything on a tray, bringing the breakfast to your sleeping boyfriend.
With a few nudges Minghao woke up, groggily sitting up and holding his head with a pain twisted expression. “What time is it?” His voice raspy from sleep.
“Breakfast time”, you smiled and placed the tray on his lap, climbing on the bed to sit down next to him. You snuggled up to his side and placed your head on his shoulder, innocently waiting for him to start his breakfast.
He kissed your temple and thanked you with a soft smile before he turned his attention towards the breakfast. Minghao grabbed the glass of orange juice, taking a big gulp before choking on it.
You snorted and covered your mouth with your hand, watching as Minghao slowly turned his head to look at you with a deadpan expression. You looked at him almost apologetically, though both of you knew you didn’t feel sorry at all.
“Why?” Minghao shifted his gaze between the glass and your face, quickly speaking up again: “Actually never mind. What is that?” He raised the glass and turned it between his fingers, trying to guess what was mixed into the orange juice by simply looking at it.
“A breakfast martini.”
He hummed shortly, processing your answer. “Fine.” With that he chucked down the liquid and placed the glass down back on the tray.
You gaped at him with an open mouth, softly laughing in disbelief. “Fine? Are you really?” You placed a hand on his upper arm, rubbing over it in small motions.
Minghao raised one of his hands, telling you to not ask him that as he grabbed a toast and started munching on it. “I’m still deciding”, he mumbled between two bites. “Maybe I just need another one.”

PEANUT BUTTER JELLY TIME! Happy World Cocktail Day! I love making creative cocktails and one of my favorite classics to switch up is the Breakfast Martini. I have partnered with the National Peanut Board to bring you this delish cocktail. I have infused the gin with some creamy peanut butter and added homemade strawberry jam to take this…
It has been a brutal winter so I decided to mix up something to warm your soul today. I named this cocktail Mules & Monks because of the traditions behind both of the alcoholic components within. Mules came first because if you look at the history of both products, Tequila is said to have started production in the 16th century and the process was so heavily reliant on mules for transportation and…
BREAKFAST MARTINI BY "THE MAESTRO", SALVATORE CALABRESE
We were delighted to welcome Salvatore Calabrese and his wife Susan to the distillery for a tour last week.
Salvatore, otherwise known as "the maestro" is one of the world's most high-profile bartenders, with his name on venues in London, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Hong Kong, and with over 40 years of bartending under his belt.
The Breakfast Martini is Salvatore's signature drink, he created it in 1996 as a modern classic that has now become popular throughout the world. It has texture and a bitter sweet flavour, and it is of course a firm favourite throughout the Chase team.
We were delighted when Salvatore happily took on the challenge of a Breakfast Martini 'with a twist' and created a bespoke recipe that replaced the usual base ingredient of gin with our very own Chase Marmalade Vodka.
This version of his classic cocktail is easy to recreate at home, simply combine 50ml Chase Marmalade Vodka with 15ml freshly squeezed lemon juice and 1 bar spoon of thin cut orange marmalade. SHAKE with ice and double strain into a chilled martini glass. Finish with an orange peel garnish. Perfect!
