CHASE AT CANNES YACHT SHOW
Next week we will be jetting off to the South of France to soak up the sun at Cannes for the yacht show. We will be joining our brand partner Sunseeker over there for a week of sunshine, yachts and Chase cocktails, what could be better!
This year sees our third consecutive year at the show and it’s shaping up to be the best yet with Great Chase cocktails, GB&Ts and Williams Chase rosé flowing. If you’re visiting the show please come and say hello.
CHASE AND BATH RUGBY CLUB
We are delighted to announce that Chase Vodka and Williams Gin are now the official gin and vodka brand of Bath rugby club!
From the beginning of this season, starting this Saturday, we will be at every home game with our horse box bar serving GB&Ts and Great Chase cocktails to warm your boots. Whether you’re a die hard rugby fan or simply fancy a bit of a day out, please come and join us at some point this season.

BREAKFAST MARTINI BY "THE MAESTRO", SALVATORE CALABRESE
We were delighted to welcome Salvatore Calabrese and his wife Susan to the distillery for a tour last week.
Salvatore, otherwise known as "the maestro" is one of the world's most high-profile bartenders, with his name on venues in London, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Hong Kong, and with over 40 years of bartending under his belt.
The Breakfast Martini is Salvatore's signature drink, he created it in 1996 as a modern classic that has now become popular throughout the world. It has texture and a bitter sweet flavour, and it is of course a firm favourite throughout the Chase team.
We were delighted when Salvatore happily took on the challenge of a Breakfast Martini 'with a twist' and created a bespoke recipe that replaced the usual base ingredient of gin with our very own Chase Marmalade Vodka.
This version of his classic cocktail is easy to recreate at home, simply combine 50ml Chase Marmalade Vodka with 15ml freshly squeezed lemon juice and 1 bar spoon of thin cut orange marmalade. SHAKE with ice and double strain into a chilled martini glass. Finish with an orange peel garnish. Perfect!

Chase is the first Single-Estate distillery in the UK.
We grow our own raw materials, then hand make and hand bottle all of our products on our family farm in Herefordshire. As you can imagine, this takes time and effort. But quality doesn’t happen by chance. The care and consideration we put into every drop of spirits we produce has won us awards – and our vodka has even been named best in the world.
Position: In-House Graphic Designer

ROLE:
This role supports the internal sales and marketing team to design and produce a variety of on and offline sales and promotional material. You will work in accordance with established brand guidelines and parameters over the following brands: Chase Distillery ( Chase Vodka, Williams Gin ), Williams Chase Wines, Willys Cider, Willy Chases Pop Corn, ACV and Verzon House Hotels.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Be familiar with briefs and respond to them with multiple concepts in a timely manner
• Manage internal process - responding to ad-hoc requests and more detailed briefs which require multiple concepts in response, through to internal approvals within a defined lead time
• Manage external supplier relationship by identifying lead times, delivering artwork files to printers / external suppliers, proofing and delivery, ensuring deadlines are met and material is printed to the highest quality.
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE:
• A graphic design degree (or equivalent) and demonstrable relevant work experience
• Proficiency in all relevant graphic design software packages (AI, photoshop etc.)
• Technically capable, with a flair for creativity
* An understand of all Social Media platforms and Web design.
• Experience in the food and drink industry would be ideal, but not necessary.

HEREFORD INDIE FOOD FESTIVAL
This weekend we will be joining all of our fabulous friends in Herefordshire for a foodie celebration!

CHASE AT BURGHLEY HORSE TRIALS
This September will see us dust off our Dubarrys in preparation for the Landrover Burghley Horse Trials where we are now the official Gin & Vodka sponsors.
The partnership will see our Williams GB Gin and Chase Vodka exclusively stocked at the event, while our bespoke Chase Horsebox Bar will be situated at the heart of the cross country course, in Burghley Park’s Discovery Valley.
The Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials takes place in Stamford, Lincolnshire each September, attracting more than 160,000 visitors over a four-day period. Situated within the magnificent parkland of Burghley House, Land Rover Burghley is renowned not only as a major international televised sporting event, but also as the premier occasion in the autumn social calendar.
This year (1st – 4th September) up to 80 elite horse and riders drawn from across the globe will be taking part, including five Olympic medallists. Visit their website here to reserve your tickets. We’ll see you there for a GB&T!
CHASE POP UP ON THE BRISTOL HARBOURSIDE WITH COCONUT CHILLI
Join us for Chase cocktails paired with a two-day-only fun & impromptu ‘Hill Station’ inspired party at the beautiful venue Spoke and Stringer on Bristol's Harbourside next week.
Coconut Chilli are developing an extra special menu featuring small plates by their new chef KK Anand. These delightful little dishes will pair wonderfully with Chase Distillery cocktails.There is a fabulous party spirit in the hills of Southern India, so it’s a completely informal affair – our food will come out when it’s ready and you’ll have plenty of time to taste every single morsel.

THE GLORIOUS TWELFTH
Last Friday, we joined our friends Driven Shooting in New Zealand to celebrate the Glorious Twelfth where we supplied our GB and Sloe & Mulberry Gin to ensure that everyone’s hip flasks were kept well topped up!
The tradition of the Glorious Twelfth first started in 1831 and starts the grouse season with a bang, Driven Shooting are famous for their spectacular shoots to celebrate this date. Driven Shooting is a worldwide field sports agency who focus on delivering bespoke sporting experiences in both the UK and NZ where they were established in 2000.
Rachel Carrie- who is regarded as one of the most successful faces in British shooting also joined Driven Shooting for the celebrations. She has numerous titles to her name, including the British ‘Side by Side’ championship in 2013. She not only won the ladies’ crown but she also placed in the men’s top ten.
Our William’s Gin is now available to purchase in New Zealand via Hancocks, another reason to visit then!
CHASE AT COWES WEEK 2016
Last week James, Sophie, Iona and Larissa set off to Isle of Wight to celebrate the annual regatta, Cowes Week.
We are delighted to say that the regatta was a great success. Whilst soaking up the glorious sunshine, people enjoyed our refreshing GB&Ts by the harbour, served from our very own tender.
We also ventured out onto the sea to hand out Chase goodie bags which went down a treat! Here are some snaps to give you a sneak peak of how much fun Cowes Week is. We hope to see you again next year, fingers crossed for more fantastic weather.
CHASE AT AYNHOE BACKSTAGE, WILDERNESS FESTIVAL
Earlier this month we were delighted to attend the exclusive Wilderness Festival as a partner of Aynhoe Park for Aynhoe Backstage. Aynhoe Park is the brainchild of James Perkins and his partner Sophie, check it out at http://aynhoepark.co.uk/! Entrepreneur and art collector James chose Chase as his exclusive partner for Aynhoe Backstage at Wilderness. Why? Because we really like each other!
Mixing it with Goldie, Sienna Miller, Jade Jagger, Jemima Khan and many other famous faces we kept them topped up with our Great Chase cocktail, GB Gin & Tonic and Williams Chase Rosé.
We enjoyed every last second of our experience with James and Sophie at Aynhoe Backstage and cannot wait for the next year!
GIN TRUFFLES
These truly decadent truffles should be reserved for special occasions. Remember to share!
Makes 15
130g Dark Chocolate (30g grated for decoration)
120g Double Cream
25g Caster Sugar
13g Butter
30g Williams GB Gin
Break up 100g dark chocolate into small pieces, place in a bowl and set aside.
In a heavy-based pan on a medium heat, add 100g of the cream, the butter and sugar. Once the mix reaches boiling point, pour over the chocolate.
Stir until fully incorporated then add the remaining cream and gin, mix thoroughly and refrigerate for 12 hours.
Remove from the fridge and shape into 15 equal size balls, roll in the grated chocolate until covered and place on tray lined with baking paper and return to the fridge.
Once set, eat!
GIN: THE MOVIE
Gin, the spirit which once was used as a herbal medicine in medieval times, has become the runaway star of the spirits industry and is now the favoured tipple for many.
A World of Gin and Garnish Communications have set out to document a journey across the UK exploring the diversity of gin and to discover some of the most exciting gin brands on the UK market.
Gin: The Movie, will visit six specially selected distilleries and one of them including Chase Distillery and our award winning Williams Gin!
Screenings are set to begin in late September and run for 12 months. The viewings will be within independent cinemas and venues across the country and viewers are set to have a 5D experience.
The audience will be able sample the gins as their own individual stories are told on the big screen– Amazing!
THE COUNTDOWN FOR COWES
The countdown for Cowes Week has commenced. From the 6th – 13th August our Great Chase tour will continue, but this time Chase will be setting sail next week for a fun filled weekend celebrating the historic annual regatta in the Isle of Wight.
Cowes week was first staged in 1826 and now attracts more than 100,000 visitors to Cowes. So put on your life jacket, hope for sunny weather and come down and visit for yourself. Both James and Iona will be down for the weekend by the harbour to provide tasters of our tempting spirits such as our famous Chase Vodka, Chase Elderflower Liqueur and our Williams GB Gin. We will also be handing out Chase goodie bags so make sure you pop by to get your hands on one!
On the 7th of August there will be a Regatta family day with lots of fun activities for everyone to join in. Children can learn a range of outdoor skills including sailing, making a fire and making a shelter. The festival will be packed with a variety of activities both on and off the water for everyone to enjoy. What better way to celebrate the event than with one of our Great Chase cocktails or our refreshing GB&T at the Little Gloster just down the road.
CLASSIC NOSTALGIA
Classic Nostalgia transports you back in time to the 1950’s and 1960’s. With classic cars everywhere you look and vintage-inspired musicians and dancers it’s a weekend of celebration for this memorable era.
The event is held at Shelsley Walsh, Worcester, and is the world’s oldest motor racing venue to still be help on the original track. After 111 years not a single corner has been changed.
The guest of honour, Hans-Joachim Stuck, followed the trail of his late father, the legendary Hans Stuck, who, exactly 80 years ago drove a similar V16 Auto Union Grand Prix car up the iconic hill. After all the action, Stuck took to our horsebox bar and put his feet up with a Great Chase- living the dream!
The rural setting, crowd’s reception and the nostalgia of the occasion made for a truly magical event.
FOR THE LOVE OF GIN
Last weekend we set up camp at the first ever gin festival to be held at Bath’s Guildhall. We took with us our award winning Williams GB Gin and rustled up some GB&T’s to sample. We also have been showing off our brand new Williams Pink Grapefruit Gin, which went down a treat!

COUNTRY LIFE GREAT BRITISH GIN AWARDS
Earlier this month we were delighted to be awarded with a gold medal for our Williams GB gin in the first ever edition of the Country Life Great British Gin Awards.
Our GB gin was selected as one of the top gins after a poll held in London and praised by the judges for having : ‘attractive zestiness on the nose, juniper backed by citrus and spice. The citrus aromas are quite strong and almost sharp, but lead to a rounded palate and nicely judged dry finish. Satisfying and excellent with tonic.’
After the tasting the winners were presented with their awards in a ceremony at The Ritz London where not only the judges got to sample the award winning gins! We’re already looking forward to re-entering next year.
SUNSEEKERS OWNER’S EVENT MALLORCA
Last weekend Lorna and Ben jetted off to Mallorca to run a Chase bar at a Sunseeker’s owner’s party, and we thought you deserved to see a sneak peek into what they got up too.
