I'm a huge fan of ARGs!~ Have been since I was a teen~ I was there for the rise of some of the most classic unfiction projects on the internet!~ And now, I have my sights on a new one with HUGE potential!!~
The acting is realistic, the special effects are insane, there's like a dozen characters with fully fledged backstories and lore and active blogs associated with them, and there's just SO. MUCH. DETAIL!!!~
I made this blog to help keep tabs on the blogs relating to this ARG, something I'll be doing on-and-off in-between my hunt for a job that isn't freelance work~
I'm still not done reading all of them, and at this rate I don't know if I can read everything if I want to keep up... I'll try, but I swear the list they gave me keeps getting longer...
And I'll be honest: As much as I love this genre, I don't usually take the role of an active player when the ARG is still ongoing. I usually wait until they're finished then solve it on my own, occasionally looking at guides written by those who played before me when I get stuck.
But between the passion, the artistry, and, well, the obvious, I simply couldn't pass up the opportunity to play it live this time around~ This game is one I won't lose, not to anyone~
So mark my words when I say this:

Decided to make this blog solely because I had a brainworm of an idea for a character, accidentally created too much lore for her in my head, and then my unrelenting urge to RP as her convinced me to join in~
This is the second time one of my stupid Minecraft OCs has dragged me across the floor and into a roleplay with a bunch of people I never would have interacted with otherwise, and the first time was a blast~ So I just hope I can make a character and a story that entertains ya'll as much as it entertains me~
And yes, do I type like this normally~ Tildes and all~

Squig is a character that, in-universe, thinks this is an ARG. This is going to lead her calling her fictional world reality frequently. Please don't put your mental health at risk if you have a hard time telling what's real and what's fake.
This is the first time I've run anything like this, so bare with me if I'm bad at it~ On my normal Tumblr account I tag nothing and reblog everything, so if I mess up with tags or RP etiquette or whatever, tell me and I'll fix it ASAP~
All roleplay here will be SFW and platonic. I'm an adult in my mid-twenties, my character is an adult in her late twenties, but a lot of the folks working on and engaging with this AU are minors. So no. We're not doing that. I was already planning on making things strictly SFW, but after realizing that I'm probably one of the oldest mods for this AU, I've decided to extend this notion and have no romance or QPRs for Squig either. Not with other roleplayers at least. I can still create my own OCs for that if I want, I'm just not comfortable roleplaying relationships that aren't platonic with other people, especially with those younger than me.
Squiggly is mostly based off of a character I want to use in an ARG I make myself one day. Emphasis on Mostly.
Squig and this other character share the same full name, same childhood, same core beliefs, same DNA, same neurodivergencies...
But although they come from the same source, the version of her in this AU has gone down a very different path. As such, her personality is different too~ I won't go into details of the differences, but think of Squig as the Wario of her 'canon' self's Mario~
So if I end up making that ARG and someone in the future reads this blog, don't take anything here as canon to my ARG~

Although I'm not as much of a nerd about ARGs as Squig is, the genre has always been one I've wanted to try doing myself and I want to use this blog partially as an experiment for ways I could make one in the future! This won't be a full on ARG (at least... I don't think it'll be...) but I will be adding elements of the genre in here once I get a gist of Tumblr Roleplay in general~
