Queer Fantasy Prompts:
1. In your world, names shape destiny. When someone comes out, their name changes—and so does their fate. Write about the moment a character hears their new name spoken aloud for the first time.
2. A love spell goes wrong: instead of summoning a soulmate, it reveals every person who has ever secretly desired you. How does your character handle this sudden flood of truth?
3. There’s a hidden sanctuary where queer people have gathered for centuries, invisible to outsiders. One day, the veil slips, and someone unexpected stumbles in.
4. A shapeshifter can only take forms tied to who they’ve loved. They’ve never stayed in one form for long—until now.
5. In this realm, gender is tied to elemental forces (water, fire, stone, wind, etc.). Your character discovers they embody more than one, which was thought impossible.
6. Lovers are bound by threads of light visible only at night. Two characters realize they share a thread that defies all tradition.
7. A cursed object only activates when touched by someone queer. The main character realizes what they are the moment it flares in their hands.
8. There’s an ancient spell that allows people to build families of choice—literally. Cast it, and bonds of blood are rewritten. Who dares to use it first?
