#yomkippur2018 and my mom put on quite a feast for breaking of the fast. Since I was 18 I have broken it with a #whisky and finding this 12 year @theglenlivet from decades ago was amazing until the cork broke. lol. Something to be said about truly aged #scotch where 12 years was really 12 years aged. With technology today brands are heating up the warehouses often to age it quicker. Sad day for sure in my opinion, since well rested juice with nature taking its course is just better to me. But hey, demand is at record highs so I can’t fault them. That Sour Cream and Tahini substitute in my Salmon Salad with Pickle and Fennel worked beautifully, and the flavors are incredible! Decided to do an actual sandwich with Toasted Cauliflower Thins sprinkled with Bacon Bits and Cheddar Cheese. So, @marques_ang shared some fun facts about the duck eggs he gave me from his ranch. Some are Duck Eggs and some are Muscovy Duck Eggs. While the differences are subtle, I suspect these are probably it. The Muscovy Eggs are larger, with brilliant yolks that have a nice smoothness to them. Today, I scrambled the eggs with Heavy Whipping Cream and served them over a bed of Radicchio with Sautéed Shrimp.
