Punk Anon here, I sent an ask earlier saying that like great depression era mixed with victorian era gives me Steampunk AU vibes. I wanna elaborate on that, I think the richer areas have a more victorian era vibe to them. Poofy dresses, fancy houses, power wigs, esc. While poorer areas are more great depression like, people are in trashier clothing, turn a corner and theres a gangster, people in boxes, drinking, stuff like that. Gives a big contrast between the two classes & shows the big divide

and listen I have a Niche of ‘great depression age-like characters just Vibin n Survivin’ so I am All For This. There’s a certain Line in the town. It eases into the poverty but at a certain point they call the Breakway is when you really start to notice the Divide between them. Romeo and Juliet much? maybe
Which was a slap to the face for Amity when she runs off to tinker. She usually doesn’t go to the poorer areas but sometimes she would end up there by accident and have to watch her every step. The Owl House is tucked out of the way of everything but still on the poor side, so Amity finds herself there a lot more often when she befriends Luz. The fact that Luz barely bats an eye at it anymore is more than concerning for her.
