Dimension 20's Cloudward ho got me in the steampunk mood. these guys are sky pirates/revolutionaries and theyre super ultra mega cool i like them hehehehhoohoho
Ace lost his arm before he met Sabo from someone attacking him for being Roger's son, Sabo lost his arm and eye in the celestial dragon attack, and Luffy was born without arms.
Sabo's design just designed itself while luffy and Ace'd designs were a whole lot harder. That straw hat makes it difficult to keep to the distinctly steam punk vibes believe it or not. And also! i am. so bad at drawing these mechanical arms it took so long to get it to this point man i hate linear lines FUCK linear lines. pulling a prothstetic out of my ass 5 times was brutal. but it had to be done.
