Breastfeeding is best for babies. Kaya I am doing what's best for my baby. Kahit nasa school ako he can still drink plenty of breastmilk. I did this for almost 3 months now and I am enjoying. Sometimes, nakakapagod mag pump lalo na pag burnt out galing trabaho but i put in my mind kailangan talaga. In my three months of pumping, ngayon lang ako nakapag pump ng 4 bottles with 3 oz each. isang araw na consumption nya. Talagang n amazed ako. Thank You Lord for this overflowing blessing. #justsharing #breastfeedingph #breastfeeding #breastfeedingmom #supportbreastfeeding #naturalizebreastfeeding
we are so blessed for having these abundant breastmilk.. i pumped every night before going to bed and early in the morning after waking up for his consumption on that particular day. I am so thankful that whenever I get home from school he already consumed all the milk (4 bottles, 3oz each). formula milk will takes place if ever I went home late. #breastfeedingph #breastfeedingfriendly #breastfeedingislove #breastfeedingmom #supportbreastfeeding #breastfeedingnaturally

My First Breastfeeding Journey
I was married on March 2013. My breastfeeding journey started on November 2013 when my first baby was born and it was unsuccessful. I’d like to tell my story here so that future moms could learn from my experience.
During my pregnancy, I was promoted at work and my organization is pursuing for an ISO accreditation. Aside from the fact that it’s my first pregnancy, and that I was so busy at work, I haven’t thought about whether I would breastfeed my child or not. And since I did not think about it, I was ignorant about breastfeeding. Actually, I never even thought it was hard – I never saw my mom struggling to breastfeed my sisters; so I just figured, when the baby’s here, everything will just fall right into place. And it did not! Right after my son was born, of course I was required to breastfeed my son at the hospital. My son found it hard to latch on my breasts, and I didn’t know what I was doing. He was able latch on my left breast but not on my right. When we got out of the hospital and I tried to feed him, my son was so fuzzy, he only feeds on my left breast, my left nipple is sore and it hurts a lot. I seriously didn’t know what to do. I was away from my parents (I still had that separation anxiety from my parents after my wedding) so no one’s talking to me about breastfeeding, and I didn’t have the time to learn about it that time! I had undergone CS operation so I was still enduring the pain. Everything was dizzying, everything was new to me. My mother in law was pushing me to breastfeed my son, so I really tried hard to keep him latching on my breasts. Because my nipples are sore, I asked my husband to buy a manual pump. He then bought a cheap pump (one that is like a potpot used by sellers of bread). One night, I asked my husband to help me pump my milk, we were able to extract some, but it has a lot of blood in it (from my sore nipples) that it turned pink. My husband didn’t allow me to feed that to my son, so we resorted to buying a formula. Just like other moms out there, I also thought I didn’t have enough milk to feed my son. And my baby that time still didn’t want to feed from my right breast. He was fuzzy all the time. It was so easy to just give up from all that stress. When my husband and I decided to buy a formula milk, we thought it will be just be a supplement – because I didn’t have enough milk.
Just like any other breastfeeding story, when a mom starts to feed her baby formula milk, the breastmilk production will decline. You have to know that breastmilk production of your body follows a demand and supply rule. The body will produce milk if there is a demand. No demand for milk, then no supply. Eventually, my milk production stopped, and that is the end of my first BF journey. To be continued…
