I know we never talked before, but I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm glad you can find some joy in small things. No one should feel bad if in sad moments a fictional character brings a smile to their face. I think we should all seek any comfort that we can get in any big or small thing in our life. Take care of yourself!

my dad introduced me to star wars which was the first fictional universe i got obsessed with lol. (i mean after the animated movies and anime series i loved as a little kid.) nowadays i’m not much into star wars anymore bc i don’t really love what disney has done with it but i’m still very much fond of the experience.
my dad and brother also teased me by calling me obi (short for obi-wan) when they required my assistance with something (you know, from ‘help me obi-wan kenobi’) which was annoying (which is why they did it, of course).
(i put into my dad’s hand, before they closed the coffin, two little figurines, one darth vader and one yoda. i had a bunch of those from a time the supermarket would give them when you spent money in it.)
he only watched a few seasons of supernatural (i think only to humor me, i don’t think it was his cup of tea lol) but yeah he would approve of being a little nerdy ;)
