REID McALLISTER (24) needs the people who are... kind of like his roommates. Someone converted some old office spaces into housing and rented out the rooms to broke twenty somethings that didn’t know any better. The catch? It’s not an apartment building, it’s a communal living space. So while they (mostly) have their own loft like bedrooms, they share common spaces like the bathroom, kitchen, dining area and living room. But it’s pretty much like living in a dorm okay!! It’s fun!! The owner will tell you how fun it is!! and because it’s a semi-roommate req, I thought it’d be fun to loosely base these characters on FRIENDS. but pls don’t make carbon copies of the characters. lived in rosewater his whole life / dad owned a construction company - they’re the go-to if you want a nifty extension on your house or a kitchen refurb and so on and so forth / he’s just been an all-round good guy since he was a kid / played sport in high school, thought about playing pro but then his dad told him he wanted him to take over the family business so he figured he’d best just do that then / always puts other people’s needs before his own / but holds everyone to probably impossibly high standards??? / an actual Dad™ friend who def tells dad jokes any chance he gets / got married to luciana even though he 100% thought he was punching above his weight / it was going great, they had luna and she fast became the light of nate’s life TBH / then six-or-so months ago he found out luce had relapsed and cheated on him / left because it was best for luna and he’s been trying to fix things since but it’s HARD..... because they’re a mess.
needs: friendssss please!!! he’s lived in town his whole life and he’s a really friendly... good guy, probably helped your gma cross the street or helped you take your groceries out to your car, he was a “jock” in hs i guess you could say idk he played a lot of sport but didn’t go to college just stayed and helped his dad with da business. about: has spent literally his entire life in colorado. mostly just in rosewater too. went on a class trip to dc his junior year of high school and it truly blew his mind. not enough for him to ever leave again though tbh. has been a cranky old man since he was 8. means well, is also a negative nancy at all times. doesnt like people. doesnt like change. known to throw hands when he’s drunk enough. avid smoker but trying to quit and tells people he just smokes “““socially”“ but its 2019 so who really does that.

born in kentucky & is the youngest and only boy of the rienk sibs. being an only boy with a bunch of sisters was... a lot to deal with. he adores his sisters, don’t get him wrong, but would definitely have loved a brother or two.
still has a bit of a southern accent but he tries to hide as much of it as possible because he doesn’t wanna sound like ‘some dumb redneck’.
has absolutely no idea what he wants to do w/his future and is probably working some minimum wage job while he tries to figure it out. he has big dreams of travelling and getting out there to see the world!!! but doesn’t know how he’s gonna achieve that, y’know?
was a total player in high school up until he met his high school sweetheart, and was 100% head over heels for her. but... cheated on her two years out of high school when they had a little rough patch. ended up knocking the other girl up that he cheated on her with and effectively ended the relationship.
now has a 2 year old daughter whom he adores!!! and would kill for!! but tbh he’s still very much hung up on his ex :(

always above trends, marched to the beat of her own drum. she wasn’t exactly a goodie two shoes, but thought most group ideas were stupid so she usually avoided getting in trouble more than the rest. dated the trent for a good chunk of high school and, in an uncharacteristic move, was willing to forgo an ivy league college to follow him to his college of choice... but then he abruptly dumped her, and leda, in a drunken rage, slept with the kevin (who at the time dated the brittany, one of her closest friends). ended up leaving and severing ties with everyone except the jane (who’s the trent’s sister). now she’s back, a sudden widow and with no real purpose.

super into the arts, at least back in high school. the kind of cool that seems forced in other people, but that just works for her. younger sister to the trent, and the only person leda kept in contact with after high school. she knows what happened with leda and the kevin, and has kept it a secret all these years. everything else about her is open.

popular cheerleader back in hs, living a seemingly perfect life. dated the kevin, the star quarterback, and, despite looking it, was not an airhead. in fact, she beat leda as valedictorian. doesn’t know the kevin cheated on her with leda, so she doesn’t understand why leda stopped talking to her. whether she’s still dating the kevin or not, that’s up to you, as well as what she’s been up to lately.

older brother to the jane, and dated leda for a good chunk of high school. got held back a year, which explains why he graduated with the group. didn’t have any goals, so he barely made it through hs, but knew that leda had the potential of doing something great with her life and he couldn’t let her drop everything for him, so he dumped her and left town for a while. whether he made something of himself or is still coasting by, it’s up to you.

not really the sharpest tool in the shed, but you can’t argue he’s a good guy. but, good people do bad things all the time, and his wrong doing happened to be sleeping with leda while he dated the brittany. it happened once, but, in his mind, it was a long time coming. he’d always fancied leda to some degree, but thought nothing of it because the girls were best friends and he did love the brittany. what happened after hs is up to you!
