Friday afternoon nap. Watching tree branches sway and listening to wind chimes-- with a warm baby in my lap. These moments are everything. A lot of people ask me if he's sleeping through the night yet, to which I respond, "No. But I really don't mind." And honestly, I don't. I love 3 am, when I wake up to E rustling in his sleep. I reach over and pull him to my breast, and his little body just relaxes completely. I stroke his head for a few seconds and we doze off together. This quiet, sleepy connection between the two of us is one that I'm not ready to give up anytime soon.
