At 15 years old, Brenda Lee had a number one song on the  Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in July 1960.  The song was I'm Sorry which was released in May f 1960.  The story goes that Brenda recorded the classic hit early in the year and that her record company, Decca Records, did not release it right away, they were concerned that a 15 year old was too young to sing about unrequited love.  On the All Time charts, US Billboard 100 ranks it at number 159.  Mr. P's Music Fans channel focuses on the music of the past, and is meant to be enjoyed.
