My therapist told me to watch The Call To Courage with Brene Brown. I’m a big fan of hers anyway, so this was an easy ask but, as always, with Brene, I was moved to tears, inspired, uplifted and felt a renewed faith in humanity after watching it. Brene has a way of doing that. I have been struggling enormously recently. I have felt scared, lonely, alone, like a failure. I have felt unlovable and unloved, rejected and unwanted. I have felt many things that I know I am not but it doesn’t make it any easier when you are in the crippling throes of self-doubt. But I also know that I have felt all of these things because I have allowed myself to be vulnerable. I have TRIED. I have chased dreams and I have followed my heart. I have taken chances, BIG, SCARY, LEAP-OF-FAITH chances. I have moved ahead in spite of UNCERTAINTY and HEART-STOPPING FEAR. And, you know what? I will CONTINUE to do so. Because THAT is what we were sent here to do. I will not be a spectator from the cheap seats. I will stay in the arena.
