Friendly reminder that there’s a mockumentary of a character called Brian Pern who is a parody of Peter Gabriel and the “Genesis” portion still kills me to this day because that is exactly how that era of Genesis comes across to the average person

have you seen the mockumentary series Brian Pern? Rhys Thomas who directed the Days of our Lives doc directed this in his day job as a comedian. Fictional rock legend Brian Pern is based more on Peter Gabriel than any other star but the whole thing clearly shows the influence of Thomas’ time with Queen. IMHO Brian Pern’s manager is based on Jim Beach: see 15 minutes into the first episode for instance
