summary: While in Wilmington, Lord John sleeps with an attractive young stranger named Brian Randall, only to realize later this man is actually Jamie and Claire's adult son.
excerpt:
“What is it?” Claire asked, stroking her cold fingers along the side of his arm.
“I was only thinking how strong ye must’ve been. I dinna think I could’ve survived it, seeing ye in him everyday, like a ghost of ye.”
“You could have,” Claire replied. “You would have. For him. I know you would have.”
He nodded subtly, then pressed his lips together in a thin line, something obviously still on his mind. “I dinna ken him like ye do, o’course, tis only… has he seemed different since returning to the ridge?”
Character Cocktail Recipe: Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup for Brian Randall
Brian Randall is a gender-swapped Brianna, as envisioned by the wildly talented @iihappydaysii in what a wonderful world (this would be). This is a SWEET one, y’all!
Ingredients
2 oz Skrewball peanut butter whiskey (It’s a thing and it’s delish)
1 oz Creme de Cacao
1 oz Kentucky bourbon or rye whiskey (optional - I used Elijah Craig because I need something to cut the sweet and wanted into increase the alcohol content)
Cherries for garnish (maraschino or moonshine-soaked, like I used because it’s what I had)
Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and gently annoy it into submission. Strain into a vessel of your choosing (stemware would be good for this one to keep it cold). If you add the bourbon or rye, it’s sneaky strong, so be safe and don’t do crimes maybe.
OH MY GOODNESS!!!! I cannot believe this myself but with permission from the amazing @mistresspandorawritesthings I have completed my first podfic! Please enjoy Brian: The Empire Incident in audio form! Originally written for the @lordjohngreyreadingnook cocoa and kink event, it has now been completed in podfic form.
Number 4 in the Knotty John and His Men series is a modern AU featuring Brian Randall (that would be gender-swapped Brianna if you’re unfamiliar). Written for the @lordjohngreyreadingnook Cocoa and Kink fic event.
This also fills my @outlanderbingo square “Call me Daddy.” It’s a total stretch and I own that, but that freaking square ain’t getting checked off any other way. Updated card below the cut.
Merry Christmas @iihappydaysii!!!
Title: Brian: The Empire Incident
Rating: E (exceptionally explicit erotica and Extra shenanigans)
Pairing: Brian Randall/Lord John Grey
Notes: Crack, fluff, comedy, some light bondage, improvised sex toys (plenty of tags on AO3, you should check them out)
Summary: Most couples experience the occasional embarrassing mishap and shenanigans. Even Brian Randall and John Grey.
Excerpt:
Every light in the condo went dark, and Brian abandoned all expectations. He thought at first that the power had gone out, but the little light on John’s DVR was still on. “John? Ah, babe, whatcha doin’?”
A few more footsteps, slow, deliberate, then muffled as John stepped onto the carpet. Brian squinted into the dark but his eyes hadn’t had time to adjust and all he could make out was what he thought was probably a vaguely John-shaped shadow in the middle of all the other shadows.
“Is this going to be one of those games where we don’t talk?” Brian asked, unaccountably nervous. The swing had mostly stopped swaying. “‘Cause you know, body language is a little easier to read when I can actually see your—”
John said nothing, and as far as Brian could tell he didn’t move, but he would have recognized that sound anywhere. An odd, electronic inhale of a raspy, labored breath, followed by the deeper, terrifyingly more natural whoosh of an exhale.
I didn’t include him with my other Outlander Halloween portraits because technically I “made him up” and technically “he’s not canon” but anyway the medallion says that’s dumb so here’s were!Brian Randall aka gender swapped Brianna aka the Lord John Grey’s soulmate
notes: for the LordJohnGreyAUevent2021, my bingo square was “Teacher” @lordjohngreyreadingnook
summary: Brian Randall (Jamie Fraser's gay son, of course) needs to get his grade up in his trig class taught by who other than his father's friend, John Grey.
excerpt:
Mr. Grey gave him a sympathetic smile. “And I really wish I could give you a better grade, but I have to give you the grade you earn.”
Brian considered this for a moment. “Isn’t there another way I can earn the grade? What about extra credit?”
“Hmm… well, it would have to be maths-related of course, and I mean this with compassion, you haven’t shown yourself to be particularly capable in that area.”
That stung, but Brian couldn’t argue the point, so he just stood there, hands stuffed into his hoodie pocket, blinking.
