I'm currently watching the Spy x Family movie, and while it's probably some of the most explicitly romantic it's been yet between Loid and Yor (which is cute), it also has a scene of Yuri literally having to be held down by soldiers because he's so rabid for his sister.

i’ll make a proper post sometime especially as more episodes come out but goddamn yor and yuri are great--it IS a comedy so they’re a bit over the top and played up for laughs, and they’re not terribly shippy given how oblivious yor is to yuri, but i still love them so so much

I just watched the new epi of Spy X Family and!!!! Yuri you simp!!!! that little flashback was so cute..... and his locker!!!! boyo has stalker photos of his sister!! He's so into her even his coworkers notice!!! Yuri is the office Wife Guy, but for his sister and i find it delightful.

Also, the way he begrudgingly admits that Loid is a good guy? I sense a hate-crush incoming and it gets my ot3 senses tingling.

i could imagine yuri trying to actively compete with loid or something, but that is really so cute :'D and of course it's just such a great plot because yuri and his coworkers are obviously trying to track down twilight

yoooo I just watched the Spy X Family epi where they introduced Yuri and I'm!!!! HOW is this fandom sleeping on Yuri/Yor??? I'm not even seeing fics exploring it as unrequited; everyone just ignores that Yuri is an obvious siscon. I want to see him pining, or learning to let go, or going full yandere unhinged, literally anything.

(I would also not be opposed to requited briarcest or oooo maybe some identity porn where they fall in love through their mutual work without realizing who the other is? But in general i get unrequited vibes and I wanna see all the ways that could shake out)

coincidentally, i myself also just happened to watch ep 8 after being lazy all weekend. i didnt realize the ep would cut off right before the conclusion happens (where he gets more siscon). what i also appreciate about yuri is that he's a siscon but at least we get where he's coming from.

my sappy lil heart wants them to be requited but at the very least, unrequited/angst, etc would def make sense. i really need to write something! i love them so much, i was really excited for this episode, even while being worried how yuri would be received. the identity porn is a GREAT idea lmao. yuri being yandere would also be v interesting; the VIBE he gave off when he smashed the guy's face with his gloved hand, and then leaning in to whisper about his beloved, most precious nee-san? *chef's kiss* also i may be just making this shit up, but i could've sworn he'd used the "romantic"/intense term for love when talking about yor there ;A;

I'm so torn bc I love the hilarious situation w neither of them having a CLUE about the other's secret life, but on the other hand, Yor learning about Yuri's job would be the most likely way for the feelings to be requited. Bc right now, she still sees him kinda as the kid she raised, but learning about his job would suddenly force him into a new light that's entirely different. (On the OTHER other hand, I like LoidYor too, so I may have to ot3)

I just love the pOETRY of both Briar siblings being so sweet, loving and wholesome towards each other, but actual killing machines for the other’s sake. there were some very sweet moments imo where Yor reminisces on why she’s doing her job. Ofc it’s meant to insinuate she’s begun to care deeply about Loid and Anya, thinking of them as family, but Yuri definitely is very important to her no matter what and i appreciate the series doesn’t let us forget that.

I really wonder what they’d think once they find out about each other’s job ;A;
