Bobby quotes old soap operas a lot because he used to watch them with his mom and Simon Does Not Understand but Bobby doesn't understand Simon's anime references so it balances out

I really really like Simon using nonverbal affection! He tries to use words but a lot of the time he thinks they feel wrong or feels like its somehow manipulative to be saying them (even though it isn't, he just has bad anxiety brain since he's not sure how to let people in anymore)... He trusts bobby but he wants bobby to trust him (bobby trusts him Simon just has anxiety brain) and he doesn't feel like his own words are trustworthy. Standing close, a hand on the shoulder, resting his head on Bobby's, small nuzzles or kisses... often its subtle but every time bobby just gets emotional.

They're standing at a crime scene and Simon just presses his shoulder to Bobby's and murmurs an observation... Bobby has to have him repeat it because he was having A Big Gay Moment

"S-sorry sir what was that? I uh- got distracted!"

"Hmph... fool bright... its not like you to get distracted from justice" (he says this but he's got that small smile, the one reserved for absolute fondness, on his face)

"Sorry prosecutor blackquill! You're just cuter than justice!"
