Trying a new style...art nouveau inspired!
Work time 12 hrs
Also a recent thing: I learned how to make a brigid's cross, as research because my next embroidery will be of one...
I didn't have suitable plant material for a proper attempt, so I cut strips of kraft paper and folded them lengthwise for structural purposes, then used them as if they were reeds... sort of. Tied with plain sewing thread.
I’ve been working on a series of posters for each sabbath of the pagan wheel of the year, as an exercise in having more thorough associations (and I’m making more chart/annotated versions too). It’s also for having a visual reminder of where we are in the cycle, to educate myself and others about the holiday, and just a decoration! I’m thinking about ordering them as custom garden flags and to hang some inside and outside.
Sometimes the witchy activities get a little complicated ✧
Blessed Imbolc for all of you who take part in this Sabbat, we have a very busy one since it was also the Chinese new year and 2/2/22.
What is your favorite way of celebrating Imbolc?
For me, right now, candles are a big part of it and I'm using all the power of the fire these days to fuel my work and life.
Imbolc is the perfect time to renew and plant the seeds for your fruits this year. Its also a time to come together and enjoy or be alone and cure yourself.

By Isabella @TheWandCarver Instagram: @thewandcarver Brigid by Emily Balivet, Etsy Imbolc is a sabbat which is celebrated roundly by most Wiccan folk. As it happens, all the sabbats seem to be celebrated more so by those who identify as Wiccan than any other neo-Pagan group. Witches by and large do not necessarily celebrate sabbats unless they do identify as Wiccan. All that said, the most…

Finished my Imbolc page! Pretty happy with how it came out. I feel like I should have added more info but I’ll probably add that when I get to the goddesses and tools part in the future.
I learned a lot, more than I could add. I’m so excited to continue on through the sabbaths 😁
Next page will be Ostara!

Imbolc Altar
I went out for a walk today, collecting flowers, seeds and straw to decorate my altar. The straw I used for my first Brigid's Cross, which I think turned out pretty well!
On the altar are also dried petals, lemon peel, quartz, bloodstone, amethyst, garnet, moonstone and hematite.
Since Brigid is associated with crafts and creations, I made a chainmaille chain and a small spring charm.
I welcome spring and hope that those in the colder parts of the world can see the sun is returning!
