Some of our 2019 Plymouth Redbelly Cooter head-starts have arrived. This work is part of one of the oldest and longest-running head-start program. Friday (20 September 2019) marked the first time that the new #bristolaggienrm sophomores conducted solo weighing and measuring and the 11th year that we have head-started Blanding's Turtle hatchlings with @usfws and @ugasrel. The Eastern Box Turtles we are raising for @massaudubonwellfleetbay are doing quite well. They currently weigh 120 grams. We have been working with @mass.wildlife and th wildlife agency of another state on a Wood Turtle project. Yesterday we conducted a check of these animals. All have been previously PIT tagged. This allowed us to quickly and easily identify each individual.
