Six cracked a small grin as Leo recounted a story about how Carlo got the directions wrong for a deal and ended up crashing a child’s birthday party and curled up closer to him on the couch, the sound of the rain and the fireplace crackling filling the dimmed room with an ambient flair.
“If my memory serves me correct, I believe it’s a special day?” Leo remarked casually as he slipped his hand in hetween the couch cushions to pull out a small box with a bow on top. “Happy Birthday my love.” Six eyes the box curiously and resisted the urge to tear into it like a sugar hyped child on Christmas and carefully opened the present and peeked inside the box. Laying on a velvet base was a beautiful pocket knife with Six’s name ingraved on the handle.
Leo let out a small chuckle when Six pulled him into a hug and ran his fingers through the younger’s hair. “I am pleased you like it but that is only part 1.” Six pulled away and eyed Leo curiously as he reached into his suit jacket and revealed a small velvet box which he opened to reveal a simple, yet elegant engagement band.
“Over the past few years, I don’t think I have ever been more enamoured with someone quite like you. You are truly 1 of a kind and unique and I hope we can make more memories together.” Six was stunned before tearing up and nodding, allowing the older male to slip the ring on him and shared a passionate kiss in front of the fire, the bad weather ignored in the background.
