I don't wanna @ anyone because I understand how fast things seem to move in today's landscape of streaming shows dropping entire seasons in one day, and networks pumping out new series constantly to try to attract more subscribers with no intent to actually maintain those shows over time but I just saw someone self-deprecatingly lament that they are still thinking about a show that ended almost a year ago, making fan art and playlists for it, and I want to be very clear:

you can still create fanworks when it comes to old media!! PLEASE do!! there are always going to be new fans who will appreciate it, and veteran fans who are dying for new content and new perspectives. also, less than a year is NOTHING. the original Star Trek series was on TV six decades ago and there are still people losing their minds over it, writing stories and reblogging gifsets daily, and that's only one example.

a fandom lasts as long as there are people who love a thing, even if it's only a handful of people. love what you love and write and draw and make gifs and playlists about it!

Meet Cosmic Dust!Allura, our favorite princess, castleship pilot, and diplomat.

Her first (left) outfit is her castelship pilot outfit, matching loosely with Coran's typical "royal advisor" outfit. The cuffs on her wrists and thighs help her to interface with the ship, and the pink outfit is the mourning version of the outfit. Before Altea was destroyed, the outfit would have been deep blue and white.

Her second (middle) outfit is, obviously, her in her underwear. I wanted to showcase her specific marking patterns, and to note that they don't go as far down as they could. Some alteans do have marks on their shins, or even on their hands and feet, Allura does not.

Her third (right) outfit is her "normal" outfit, aka the one that will be used in any screenshot redraws. It balances what she used to wear a lot (blues in all varieties) with the pink she wears to honor her people.

Things that can make life a little bit less exhausting:

- Lay out or hang up outfits for your week or day. Hang the shirt, pants, underwear, and socks together so in the morning you can get ready quickly.

- Keep easy snacks in your different bags, protein bars and shakes, crackers or chips, dried fruit, etc.

- Likewise, keep some of everything in multiple places. Lip balm, medications, lotion, tissues, masks, etc. Let yourself have a few safety nets.

- Make a main bag your storage area for the items you take with you every day. Keep your wallet, keys, books, etc. in the bag instead of trying to collect them all daily.

- Trust your brain and body to know their limits. If you find yourself unable to do the productive thing you have been trying to, release the pressure of doing it right now. It may come to you after there isn’t so much pressure, or after you’ve taken a rest.

- Remember that you are doing your best. Life can get tiring, and for many of us finding time to catch up on rest isn't an option. When this is the case, we must allow ourselves even the smallest moments of rest, and remember that we are deserving of love and kindness no matter what.
