(Gifted) There Are Fish Everywhere By Britta Teckentrup . I thought I knew a lot about fish after watching Blue Planet II, but reading this non-fiction book made me realise I still have a long way to go! Who knew fish move up and down in the water by relaxing and tightening their swim bladder? Or that there are fish who live in caves who do not have eyes? (Mexican blind cavefish - in case you were wondering). . The book looks at a few different habitats, such as oceans and coral reefs, and then goes into the habits of different fish regarding behaviour such as feeding and breeding. All the pages are full of Britta’s beautiful illustrations, and some of the pages even include some search and point elements! There are also an array of different diagrams, including timelines, food chains, and fish anatomy! I especially loved that the book includes a little section on plastic pollution and overfishing. .
