As Tommy flopped onto the bed, his face finding the crook of Evan’s neck automatically, he felt the tension bleed out of his body. This was exactly what the man needed after a long shift where he had picked up an extra 12 hours as a last minute thing.

Feeling fingers carding through his hair, a content sigh escaping his lips as his eyes fluttered closed. "Long shift?" The raspy, sleep-laced voiced asked him as he pulled away, blue eyes quickly meeting blue eyes. "Very. I'm glad it's over with though."

"Missed you." Tommy said with a grin as he settled himself to sit on Evan’s thighs, his hands resting on either side of the man’s head. "Oh yeah? What if I say I missed you too?" Evan was quick to tease, his hands settling themselves on the older man’s waist. 

"It's a good thing you did." The older man said with a laugh as he leaned down to kiss his boyfriend before letting his lips trail down the man’s neck. Evan could only laugh as he bit back a moan. "Horny after work, are we?"

Tommy could only pinch the man.

“I haven’t had sex in days because of conflicting schedules, yes I’m horny.” He whined as he bit Evan’s shoulder. A loud moan escaped the man’s lips as his grasp on Tommy tightened. “Good boy.” A smirk spread across Tommy’s face as he ran his tongue across Evan’s nipple, pulling another moan from him.

They were only stopped by shuffling on the other side of the bed, a small whining noise meeting their ears.

"Listen, I love you both and you know I don't care if you fuck while I'm asleep, but at least keep it down enough I get a little sleep tonight?" Eddie grumbled from his side of the bed, pouty brown eyes staring across the middle of the bed.

"Sorry babygirl, go back to sleep." Tommy murmured as he leaned across the bed to press a kiss to the man's lips in apology. "We'll give you the best blowjob to make it up to you after you get back from dropping Chris off at school in the morning."

Eddie stayed silent for a moment before nodding his head. "Deal. I'm going back to sleep now." With that, he rolled over and Tommy smirked at Evan. "Now, where were we?”

“He has 30 seconds to start breathing on his own, otherwise the ventilator comes back.” The doctor explained as Buck and Eddie hovered around Tommy’s hospital bed. “If he doesn’t breathe on his own, we’ll turn the ventilator back on and come up with a new plan for him.” With the ventilator off, the countdown began. Buck and Eddie clung to one another as they watched Tommy’s chest, hopeful to see it rise and fall on its own. “C’mon Tommy, breathe for us please.” Buck said quietly, tears streaming down his face. “You need to breathe baby.” Eddie chimed in, his hand reaching out for Tommy’s. The conscious duo could only hold their own breaths as they waited.

“Eddie…we NEED to fight this!” Buck’s voice was determined as he looked at him. “She needs a family that will love her.” His voice was soft as he held the little girl against his chest. That was their foster child, their little girl. Eddie sighed as he squatted down, Tommy’s hand steadying him. “Evan, baby…we have to do what they say. We have to give her back.” He kept his voice soft as he looked at Buck. “Please, you have to hand her over.” Tears spilled down Buck’s face as he looked at the little girl. Carefully he handed over the child, watching as the social worker left with her, with their, now former, foster child.

The crew watched the flames lick up the sides of the building, waiting on pins and needles for a figure to emerge from the orange glow. “Eddie!” A scream filled the air as the sound of footsteps began, only to be halted when the person was grabbed. “Let me go! I have to get Eddie!” Murmurs of “Call Tommy” were heard as someone else walked away, a different pair of hands landing on Buck’s shoulders. “We need you out here Buck. We’ll get Eddie out and Tommy will meet us at the hospital, alright?” Taking a second to process the words, Buck eventually nodded. “Okay, okay that works.” The sound of the building collapsing filled the air. “Eddie!”

“Fine, walk out of here and abandon our family, Eddie! Abandon us like you did Shannon years ago!” The yells were loud tonight as a door slammed, a body hit the floor in a pile of sobs. Soft footsteps walked up to the man and wrapped their arms around him. “Is daddy gonna come home?” Buck could only wipe his eyes. “I don’t know, baby. Why don’t you go find papa? He’s out in the backyard.” Watching as their daughter walked out the backdoor, Buck hauled himself to his feet and looked out the backdoor. When Tommy’s eyes met Buck’s, the man could only shake his head. A sad look crossed Tommy’s face. Eddie had left for good.

Buck laid his head on Tommy’s shoulder, the old man snaking an arm around his waist. “Did you ever think that you’d end up like this?” He asked softly, head tilting to look up at his boyfriend. “None of us came from great families, but the three of us have really come together to form our own little family. I wouldn’t change a thing.” Tommy said quietly as he looked out to the garage, where Eddie was wailing on a punching bag. An “oompf!” left Tommy’s lips as something landed against his chest. “Papa come play!” Their youngest son requested before running off. "Better get going before he comes back.” Evan teased, watching Tommy walk across the backyard.
