So, for the last part of "Bro Bots", what gave you the idea to have Mega fake his death in front of Proto?
Can’t say exactly, it was just one of those ideas I had since the beginning: a twist on the original scene, where instead of Mega Man saving Proto Man to thank him for telling him about the scrambler chip, Mega Man plays a trick as payback for Proto Man’s trick, the brothers would temporarily reconcile, then the season would immediately end when Proto Man leaves with Wily.
Also (on a funnier note) I knew I wasn’t going to follow the scene 100% for Bro Bots because the whole boiling wax is kinda dumb (even for Recut). I also wouldn’t know how to describe what they were doing right before Mega Man saved Proto Man. :D I guess wrestling, then they lost their balance, and ended up upside down? Or maybe Mega Man flipped them over on purpose to psyche Proto Man out about dropping him in. Up for interpretation, I guess.
Also moved up Proto’s dialogue, “I could have been melted! Getting sentimental, brother?“ up to Strange Island of Dr. Wily, an episode that actually has lava lol
