Funny Girl
Just saw Katerina McCrimmon play Fanny Brice in Funny Girl. It has been about 60 years since I saw Barbara Striesdand do it on Broadway. Katerina is amazing. A fantastic voice and a great comedienne. Harvey Fierstone revised the play. Fanny's mother and Nicky Arnstien roles are enhanced a lot. The song People was sung originally with Barbara alone on stage. Now it is turned into a love song with Fanny and Nick and is reprised briefly several times. Very nice addition. They saved money on sets, ensemble numbers and costumes but it was a wonderful production. Go see it.
Anyone have any recent rush info for The Ferryman, American Son, or The Prom? I’m looking to go on Thursday but I don’t think I’ll be able to get to the box office until after lunch. Thanks!
