Dipper's phone rang. When he picked up, a man introduced himself as a doctor from their local hospital.

"Is this Mason Pines I'm currently speaking to? Yes? Okay, good. I'm calling to inform you that your sister, Mabel, had an accident today and is currently in surgery. We aren't certain of the full extent of the damage quite yet but she did fall quite a distance while trying to climb down from the side of a building. Would you mind coming in? We have some paperwork that we need a family member to look over."

Scaling a wall couldn't be that hard Mabel reasoned. She didn't aim quite correctly when she was using her grappling hook and it had shattered through someone's window. And when she tried to reel it back in, the hook wouldn't budge.

Getting up there had been easy. Click of the trigger and it pulled her upwards and smacked her into the side of the house. As she tried to climb up, she realized the windowsill was covered in broken glass and her grappling hook was deeply imbedded in the interior wall. There was no way she could get it from where she was hanging.

She'd have to get that hook another way. But the first order of business was getting back onto the ground. All seemed well at first, she was descending at a decent pace. But she hadn't thought about how as she hung from the rope, the rope was being pressed against sharp, sharp broken glass. And with every movement, every shift or sway, the glass cut more and more into the rope.

Until it finally snapped.

And Mabel hit hard concrete and felt nothing but awful, awful pain.
