How would the story change if BK was the one who trained the mc in using their powers?

This is sort of a double question. The BK back when the Queen was alive was a different person, and he cared a lot less about anything that wasn't the Queen. If he trained the MC, it'd most likely be through imposition from the Queen, but even in such a scenario, he's... rather rough. You'd definitely spar a lot more, and he'd be a lot less forgiving than, say, Seeker is. You'd grow stronger quicker, but your spars would be more 'beatings' than anything else- at least until you were strong enough to make them something more even.

The modern-day King is... not that much better in terms of caring, exactly, but he's spent more time amongst humanity, not only under the Queen's skirts (not that she really wears skirts), and he has interacted with a lot more powered beings, so he knows better how powers work, and just has a better idea of how to train. He'd be relatively understanding and try to figure out what works for the MC, but his main concern is still the Queen, so you'd still be getting a pretty harsh regime, though not even comparably to how harsh he'd have been back in the times of the Kingdom. In short, it'd be sorta like getting trained by Seeker, if Seeker saw cracking your ribs as 'an accident' instead of 'a mistake'.
