I am poor and can't afford this therapy. I have never in my life tried crowd funding for anything. Not even for my music, art and science endeavors. All of that was made with my blood, sweat and tears. I want to see if I could possibly get crowd funding for this treatment. I have had #t1d for almost 27 years now. The 5-year survival rate for pancreatic cancer is 9%. Today is my 1-year anniversary since having a major surgery to remove a large portion of my pancreas to remove a baseball-sized lesion and to redirect some of my intestines. I’ll never know if endometriosis caused this or saved my life. If it weren’t for good treatment of my disease, I would have never found this lesion in a short enough time to keep it from invading my other organs. Life is a little different since then. I can’t eat a lot of popcorn, or have sugary or high carb foods, and have to take blood sugar medication. My tummy still hurts after a run or sit-ups. These are small things in the big picture and I’m beating the statistics. I will always be thankful for every next year of life and the wonderful people with me along the way.

The First Post

I've been trying to do some research about hypoglycemia and I feel like theres not a lot of webpages devoted to it entirely. Not to mention there is a lot of information that contradicts itself. ex: "eat potatoes! don't eat potatoes! fruit is good! fruit is bad!" It makes it pretty hard to follow a plan when everyone has different ideas about what helps or what doesn't. I decided to make a tumblr page that includes information I find helpful. I can refer to this and hopefully if anyone else is looking for some help they can use it too.
