MADDY!! I am so so sorry for taking ages to answer asjkdsd, thank you for your patience 😚 your boy Chikara deserves more love so thank you for giving me this opportunity to talk about him lol

First impression: ....literally just me being like "wait,, is that daichi?" for the first fifteen episodes 😅

Impression now: i love him! he's so well rounded. i think he probably comes off as quiet at first, but he's actually super observant and analytical imo. he really just sees everyone all the time and always knows exactly what advice to give them. i really like that line tanaka says when he's talking about how ennoshita would be a good captain, something like "i think ennoshita is the type of person who can understand all kinds of different people," and i think that's really true for him. also, he's real big on self-reflection, probably still struggles with self-doubt sometimes

Favorite moment: i love all his little moments when he's just like analyzing people from the sidelines lol, there's a bunch of them and it really helps build his character for me. but my favorite moment is definitely when he comes in for daichi after he's injured and he realizes that he CAN actually fit the captain role, not just bc his emotional intelligence is there, but because he can actually be a real and effective support for the team on the court. he can be essential for them for more than just his attitude, but for how he sees the game, and how he plays the game. that whole sequence is so powerful and really relatable imo, and i just love how furudate gives such emphasis to "normal" people as well as the "monsters" like hinata. plus the ripple effect that it then has on yamaguchi as well and all of the "former quitter" parallels there are great. getting good for yourself also inspires others and ultimately helps connects everyone together. *cough* it's captain behavior *cough*

Idea for a story: again nothing concrete or anything, but anything involving the "director ennoshita" from furudate's extras is a yes from me lmao. so much potential for chaos, i love it

Unpopular opinion: the only thing i can think of is that i've heard more casual viewers say that the chapters/episodes focused on him are boring, and i very much disagree with that lol

Favorite relationship: can i just say all of the other second years? i know the series touches on this a few times, saying that he's essentially like their de-facto leader in a way, but honestly i love how whenever you see them all hanging out you can see that that is true (like they'd go to him for advice, or when someone needs to be responsible, he makes that happen), but i also like how he much they all feel like real friends. i imagine they were hanging out having study sessions at the tanaka's before the idiot quartet needed to study to go to the tokyo training camp. idk the five of them feel really bonded to me, esp with all the shared experience of ukai sr being there and not being there etc. i just love them all together

Favorite headcanon: he's the guy on the team who's always sneaking pictures of everyone when they're not looking. he's got embarrassing photos of them all and will occasionally just photo dump them all to everyone for fun
