The Bronze Age Collapse was a violent and disruptive period that took place in the 12th century BC, in which several waves of migratory Indo-European tribes arrived from the northwest and laid waste to most Mycenaean, Hittite and Canaanite cities; among them were Troy, Knossos and Nippur.
