Hello fellow gunters!
Thanks for finding me! I’m happy to share my knowledge of Ready Player One with all of you. I may not be Anorak the All Knowing but I do know a thing are two about the oasis. It doesn’t matter if we’re stuck on Incipio or facing a game over on Chthonia, we’re gunters. I’ll be throwing some worthy quotes and if you would like to contribute to our own almanac I invite you.Happy hunting!
First to the key, first to the egg!
Call: I’m sad :(
Call: I’m sure I’ll be fine tomorrow
Call the next morning: *still sad*
Call: WELL FUCK
Aaron: Are you okay?
Call lying face down on the ground: I’m having me time
Call: beauty is in the eye of whoever is looking at me
Nico and Will: Who are you guys?
Call and Aaron: We’re you but not canonically gay
Ready Player One is a lot of fun! While the book piggyback rides on other pop culture's success, the film actually celebrates it. The film also *tries* its best to fix the uncomfortable romance subplot as well. I strongly encourage all pop culture sensitive people to go watch the film! #readyplayerone #parzival #backtothefuture #eastereggs #bronzekey #jadekey #crystalkey #funko #nickstoycollection
“The Liberator: One WW2 Soldier’s 500-Day Odyssey from the Beaches of Sicily to the Gates of Dachau,” by Alex Kershaw. (It is important to cherish & to remember the sacrifices that America & our military have made to give many people life and freedom.📖 To the American veterans & military, thank you for protecting and defending freedom for America and around the world.)🇺🇸 — #Goodreads review: “The riveting true story of the bloodiest and most dramatic march to victory of WW2, following the battlefield odyssey of a maverick U.S. Army officer and his infantry unit as they fought from the invasion of Italy to the liberation of Dachau at war’s end.” —- “From July 10, 1943, the date of the Allied landing in Sicily, to May 8, 1945, when victory in Europe was declared-roughly 500 days-no regiment saw more action, and no single platoon, company, or battalion endured worse, than the one commanded by Felix Sparks, a greenhorn second lieutenant when "The Liberator” begins. Historian Alex Kershaw vividly portrays the immense courage and stamina of Sparks and his men as they fought terrifying engagements against Hitler’s finest troops in Sicily and Salerno and as they endured attack after attack on the beaches of Anzio (with Sparks miraculously emerging as his 200-man company’s sole survivor). In the bloody battle for southern France, Sparks led his reconstituted unit into action against superbly equipped and trained die-hard SS troops and demonstrated how the difference between defeat and victory would be a matter of character, not tactics or hardware. Finally, he and his men were ordered to liberate Dachau, the Nazis’ first concentration camp. It would be their greatest challenge, a soul-searing test of their humanity.“ 📚(#Goodreads review.
