Why I ship Fenhawke!
I ADORE female Hawke with him and he’s just the best LI in the world! Firstly he’s an Elf, my favorite race. I don’t care if in the dragonage world, nor that they’re supposedly a lower caste/ clan than humans. Screw that idea haha. I agree with some fans who think bioware’s depiction of the elf race is anti thesis to Lotr. But Elves Are, and always will be, superior in my view because they have a longer lifespan, wisdom, experience! All true for Fenris! From what he says about the Qun, awesome big words like ‘behest of no demon’ or even at the Bonepit he calmly explains what is the best course of action. To be fair, he becomes aggressive and full of mage-hate but he would be suffering some PTSD effects, and that’s why heroine steps in yay! (nothing against those who pref M!hawke with him, but I’m very certain Fenris also cares for women)
Mostly i write about Zev and him, Heart of Winter is my new fenhawk work. I entered the DABB with To see your eyes again.
Favorite moments: Outside the mansion ‘it’s a plague burnt into my flesh and my soul’ and he calls them all vipers in the midst. I do agree with him, it’s hard not to be prejudiced after what he’s been through. I identify with oppression, because when people bullied me, my parents were apathetic which sucked. Fenris faced his enemies alone too until Kirkwall, so we have common ground. Also during a chat, Fenris asks would I go back to Fereldan, and I really think it’s cool how he’s not jealous that Hawke still has a family whereas he’s alone. Whether friendship or rivalry, after bitterpill how we kiss and make love. Quite crestfallen when he says forgive me. then with his sister, how forlorn he gets. Don’t forget Merrill saying: everytime her back is turned, u stare at her with sad puppy eyes. Lol, catch Fenris denying what is in his heart, coz he’s shy :D
Before the final battle, if he’s not romanced he says Nar vere lerno victoria! Words of wisdom and emanating of Calm Most of all, Fenhawke is symbolic to me because humans are boring. Why would I choose to romance a human when I can take a better option mwahah! I suspect I’m aromantic (RL), a cool term that #kribberit intro to me! It’s too bad I can’t get to play Mark of the Assassin, as the Fenris romance banter are cute too. He warned Tallis off Hawke, on the ‘are you married’
2. t I definitely wouldn’t break his heart. Hawke should ignore the crisis and just marry him! (I just started playing recently, but i didn’t get him mentioned but it remains the same LOL)

I’ve done all hawkes, as mage I like to specialize on the Force mage talent so can use the gravity. Then Fen and Aveline will charge! My pref party: 2 tanks 1 mage 1 rogue. My other fav character is Varric because his banter loosens up Fenris most,As I’ve tried to put forward in my fanfics, friendship is still a saving factor, even when he does not seem to respond as intimately at first. Patience is a virtue lol!

Fenris
They were with a contigent of guardsmen to clear out raiders at the Docks.
He was coming down with a fever----- his body complained. It was as if acid was coiling in his joints and cold chills made him shiver involuntarily even by the heat of the day. The elf leaned against the nearest wall, setting down his greatsword.
From faroff, Dwarf asked something but Fenris could not understand. Then he concentrated on the mouth’s movement. Varric said drily, “You look pale, Broody.”
Fenris hated admitting any form of weakness but the dwarf was right and this seemed serious because Varric had stopped. He wondered why the ringing sound in his ears would not let up.
“You jest. I am the same. Come, we shouldn’t hold the rest up.” He smirked and continued walking, albeit more wobbly. Donnic was looking at him oddly too.
When the fools assaulted, Fenris gave a warcry, illuminated blue. Instinctively, his mind slipped into Melee-fight mode, that disciplined warriors’ state. His tattoos glowed, causing some measure of pain but he was accustomed to this Tevinter-legacy. Years of hardship and abuse had honed the elf for intensive combat.
But today he did not feel a blinding rage, and his sword felt weightier than usual. Still, ignoring that sensation, Fenris attacked.
Only after the last man was down, did he stop for a breather. His head ached. An unexplained weakness brought him to his knees. “Hey Elf!” Varric cried and peered down at him. The sweat that bathed Fenris did not bring relief but was chilling.
His vision tunnelled and he had no energy to respond. He thought he was falling.
