Your boy ran a Half Marathon
My first half marathon. My first medal. Not really any training either but I finished with a 1:59:23, which I'm kinda happy with. I just wanted to get below a 2. I'm also proud of myself for never stopping or even walking. I gave it my all, as I always do. You're looking at a work in progress.
first run of my official training season. 11 weeks until the Brooklyn Half! my legs are definitely out of running shape but my breathing is strong. consistency with my training plan will get me to where i want to be, so that's going to be the main focus for this race. i put together a training calendar on google docs where i can keep track of my planned workouts v. what i actually accomplish. i'm excited to see those numbers improve between now and May 20!
amazing spin class this morning! really enjoying getting back to morning workouts...glad i have two big races this year to incentivize me to make it habit again.
...monday run. not the worst, not the best. getting better.
well, I guess I should probably stop ignoring my alarm and actually start running in the mornings....
