Happy birthday, Cap!

The Tower’s living room was decorated for the Fourth, but Amelia made sure there were some birthday decorations, too, including a banner that read “Happy Birthday” across the room.

There were birthday cupcakes and a three-tiered cake, with one layer red, white, and blue. Although despite Tony’s wishes, there weren’t 98 candles on the cake, but a couple of small sparklers and four regular candles. (Amelia just hoped it was enough to feed the team in the dessert department)

Of course, the team had gotten him presents. Amelia’s sat in the corner. It took a lot of work, but she found an old picture of his mother Sarah when she was younger, along with a couple of him and Bucky, all which Amelia had framed. Additionally, there was a new sketch book with pencils...and a pair of tickets for swing dance lessons held at a club in downtown New York, so he could finally learn and take a friend or date with him.

Home is with you

Peggy let Steve get James alone. They had previously all been together when Peggy told Ross to go to hell, and renegotiated the Sokovian Accords. But now, James was coming home. Peg had the maid come in and clean, and when she knew they had landed, she ordered three large pizzas, all with their favorite toppings, then she waited for her men to come home to their top floor Brooklyn apartment.

Peggy had worn a permanent scowl affixed to her face since the time that she’d found out that her work study was to be the manager/nursemaid for the rugby team. That scowl never relented and despite her obvious ill-humour most of the players seemed to like her. On her part, she didn’t mind many of them. Well, that was except for the captain, Steven Rogers. 

Since day one he’d irritated her and she’d never been shy to let him know it. It’d gotten to the point that he’d stopped making an attempt to talk to her while she patched him up after a match. Somehow, he always seemed to take the brunt of the damage but the man was built like a tank. And that was where she found herself today, patching up the handsome captain’s injuries as gingerly as she could while still scowling fiercely.
