I get a kick out of all the “strength programs” floating around out there. They say how you’ll get stronger and put in MASS🙄. Nobody ever talks about #recovery or how important it is. Once you start having injury after injury you’ll realize how important it is. Yesterday was recovery day. I do this pretty much every day in some way. Much shorter for warm up and warm down on lifting days. This is just a snippet. My recovery workouts take an hour or two depending on the day and how I feel. It makes a HUGE difference. I can tell when I don’t do it how it affects me. My lower back and hams hurt all the time. My flexibility suffers terribly. I have constant shoulder pain. No pain no gain right bro!?!? NO! That mentality is an injury waiting to happen. Then you’re off for weeks, months or worse years. Make sure to make recovery a priority.
