One like Schrödinger's Cat, the other, like 'magic'--CLOSED
"Aw, come on!" The boy drew back his energy to slow his flying down, quickly whipping his head back, his hand-drawn map locked in his grasp as he gasped when the natural portal behind him came to a close.
Sighing heavily, he rolled up the map and stuck it into the back of his white belt around his suit.
"Well--let's see where and when I landed..er--flew into..? Whatever." He peered around at the slick white walls and floated down the long pathways, coming to a stop at a rounded door with a simplified picture of a person on it. "Huh.." He turned down another little pathway to his right and spotted a door like one of a classroom with a deadbolt on it, and above it, he read, 'Aperture Science computer-aided Enrichment Center'.
He blinked at it and scratched his head. "Well, I can't be too far in the past, not if there's computers... Could be the future."
The unsuspecting teen failed to realize a red light glowing along the top edge of the ceiling, shining dimly at him--a camera.
It zoomed in on him, the Advanced computer in the midst of it all, GLaDOS, watching him intently.
She analyzed the being, intrigued by the ectoplasm and blood found in his DNA. Both a human and a spirit? A ghost?
"Both alive and dead, how interesting."
Startled at the sudden voice, Danny gasped and looked up, hand clenched into a fist.
"This is an odd misconception to science. I must further investigate this oddity. But first, you should be aware that experiments and tests cannot be run unless extra help and or advancements you hold on you is neutralized."
"Whoa! Who are you?-- Why don't you come out of whatever tech-place..thing you're in, and fight!?" The boy's green eyes slid along the wall and caught sight of the camera. "Bingo." He fired an ectoblast at it, causing the device to fall to the ground with a spark or two before the red light shut off.
"Stop it. What are you doing? Now I know your abilities must be brought to a lower level. Goodnight."
"Goodnight? What is that supposed to--" He suddenly yawned and turned with a wince, spotting a tranquilizer dart in his lower leg. "..do.." He fell over, and blackness consumed him.
